SPSCAP SESS
SGLab owns a supercapacitor energy storage system developed by the Chinese company SPSCAP. SESS consists of 2 supercapacitor modules connected in parallel and 1 DC/DC power converter. Each supercapacitor module consists of 36 supercapacitor cells in series for a total capacitance of 83 F and peak voltage of 96 V. Total capacitance of the SESS is 166 F with 96 V peak voltage. Rated power and energy of the SESS is 5 kW for approximately a couple of minutes.
